Why this isn’t the same as SEO
A search engine returns ten links; an assistant names one or two options. Making that short list is more valuable than being fifth in the results.
Models rely on text that’s easy to parse: clear headings, direct answers, facts next to the question. Vague wording works against you.
What to do on the site
Answer specific questions with separate blocks and pages: how much it costs, timelines, what’s included, who it’s for. List prices and numbers if you can.
Add your company description, city, services, and contacts in machine-readable form — markup helps tie you to the query.
What to do outside the website
Mentions in directories, industry roundups, and on maps form the picture from which an assistant concludes that you exist and what your reputation is.
This is a slow channel: you’ll see the first changes in weeks, not days. But it rarely breaks because of yet another algorithm update.
The assistant suggests one or two options, not ten.
Straight answers to specific questions matter more than nice phrasing.
Off-site mentions matter as much as the site itself.
