Is your website unique?

Is your website unique?

Contents

  1. There are several reasons why using non-unique content is highly undesirable:
  2. Plagiarism doesn’t get promoted
  3. Professional promotion – protection from plagiarism.

Brief

Non-unique content on a site hurts growth: search engines don’t rank copied text, and visitors don’t get a reason to trust the company. The fix is to audit the current copy, rewrite the non-unique parts, and write new content.

  • Copying someone else’s text won’t win rankings: search results keep the original source.
  • Uniqueness checking is the first step of a website audit, not a final formality.
  • Copy is written for growth goals and customer questions, not to fill pages.

Is it possible for a website to exist without text? Of course it is, but the question is: will such a resource be in demand, will it achieve the goals it was created for. If we are talking about commercial websites, having interesting text content is important a priori, since the main task of such sites is to clearly tell customers about the advantages of certain products and services of the company.
Realizing this, website owners are paying more and more attention to the site’s text content, but… There is one small “but”. Recently, one dangerous trend has been observed on the Internet more and more often: so-called “non-unique” text content is appearing on sites more and more often. What is hidden behind this, at first glance, innocent word – “non-unique”? It is content that is partially or completely taken from other resources.

There are several reasons why using non-unique content is highly undesirable:

First, websites that publish non-unique content, as a rule, do not inspire trust among visitors. This is especially noticeable if the borrowed text is found on many other resources, and the user, having already viewed several sites, encounters the same information.
Second, unique texts – are intellectual property, which is protected by law. Some users get the mistaken impression that texts posted on websites – belong to no one (especially if the author is not indicated). But this is a serious mistake. Someone created these texts, and copyright must be respected.
And, in the end, by posting non-unique content on your website, you can forget about promoting your site in search engines.

Plagiarism doesn’t get promoted

There is no longer any doubt that a website needs promotion. Competition among companies in the market is high, and competition on the internet is even higher. If you don’t pay attention to promoting your website, then there is no point in talking about the site appearing on the first pages of search engines. In addition, website promotion – is one of the best ways to attract customers. Therefore, more and more people are paying attention to website promotion.
Sites that claim a spot in the top ten are subjected to strict and fair selection. Search robots act as judges. Recently, search engines have been putting forward increasingly strict requirements for websites, including for textual content. Text uniqueness – is one of the most important requirements.
Yandex against plagiarism

One of the most popular search engines is Yandex. At the same time, Yandex is very strict about posting non-unique texts on a website.

This position of Yandex is quite justified: the search engine thus tries to offer the user new, previously unknown information, which contains unique content. And if the site meets these requirements, then you have every chance to make it into the top ten of the results.

Professional promotion – protection from plagiarism.

Where are you supposed to get this unique content? There are 2 ways – write the texts yourself or contact an outside copywriter. When creating a website at Amiscon, you can use an additional copywriting service.
Website promotion is a different matter altogether.

Before starting the work, it is necessary to carry out 2 important procedures:

First, you need to analyze the information already available on the site.
If it turns out that the texts are not unique, then they will need to be rewritten.
Then new texts are written and posted on the site, which are necessary for promotion. Is it worth saying that they also must be unique?
