A Great Website Is Great Online Advertising.

A Great Website Is Great Online Advertising.

Brief

A website is a prerequisite for online advertising because ads bring in someone ready to act right now. If after the click they don’t get an answer and a way to interact, the budget is wasted.

  • Ads without a landing page lose the user at the moment of peak interest.
  • Interactivity is a baseline expectation: the ability to choose, order, and get an answer online.
  • A “come to the office” prompt instead of an on-site action creates distrust.

These days, having a website is a mandatory requirement for running a successful online ad campaign.

One of the best-known laws of psychology says that people want to get everything at once, “right here and right now.” Imagine the reaction of someone searching online for something to buy or something else. And WOW!!! Suddenly, somewhere across the World Wide Web, they come across an ad (a banner or a sponsored article) that contains the info they need. Naturally, the person searching won’t wait long and will click the link right away, since they’ve “dug through” the entire internet looking for the information they need. The person will do it, if only out of plain curiosity. By following the link, our searcher will not only get familiar with what they were looking for, but also with the site’s design, functionality, and with items similar to what they were searching for.

Often, the site you land on after clicking a banner is nothing more than a presentation site. Naturally, any company that owns a presentation site won’t miss the chance to place links to its main website there. This could be a link to an online store or to a partner company’s website.

Well-structured site logic, its ergonomics, and its speed (which doesn’t always depend only on the provider) will definitely do their job. Users will enjoy browsing the site without waiting for the next page to load, as long as they aren’t annoyed by constant pop-up messages offering to come straight to the store or directly to the office for the product. Such site behavior can cause user distrust and a sense of being deceived. The internet lives by its own principles. One of the most important is interactivity, the ability for users to actively engage with the informational content.
